Dental hygiene tips for healthy teeth & gums

How painful are dentures?

You must have heard about dentures if you have a missing tooth or a gap between teeth. They are an ideal solution if you have missing teeth, a cavity, or significant gaps between teeth.

Dentures are just like your original teeth, made of plastic/ acrylic, metal, or nylon to resemble the size and shape of your original teeth. They can be easily removed as they are made by using soft wax.

The best thing about dentures is that they fit over your gums perfectly, replace any missing tooth, and eliminate the problem of gaps. Different types of dentures are available, and you can choose one depending on your condition. In addition, you can either go for complete or partial dentures.

Though dentures are beneficial, they can be painful at times. The pain usually occurs during the period of adjustment. When your teeth are in the process of getting adjusted to them, it is evident that you might feel discomfort or pain.

The density of pain differs from patient to patient. Some patients quickly get used to the dentures, while some take time. But if you stick to your dental care routine and regularly wear them, the pain will quickly disappear.
